Policies Regarding Our Aviary:
- All Deposits made are Non-refundable, and all birds with a deposit must be paid for by the decided time or the money will be kept and the bird will be relisted. This is due to the bird not being able to get a home and the potential homes that were passed
- No Bird or Item being purchased leaves our Aviary without being paid for in full under any circumstances
- Our Payment Policy if allowed on the particular bird, is half of total payment is due as a nonrefundable deposit. Then the person must pay the remaining amount within 30 days or the bird will be relisted and money forfeited. There are times we will extend the time to pay, however this will be determined BEFORE the deposit is made. We will NOT extend the time after deposit.
- All birds bought from Chatter Beaks Aviary come with a Contract, to keep them out of rescues and bad situations. It gives us the first right in refusal for their rehome. This contract MUST be filed out. Some birds have additional contracts that they must be returned here. Please read the contract before signing.
- Regarding Sexing of our birds, Chatter Beaks Aviary does NOT guarantee the sex of any bird as DNA sexing can be wrong (have had it wrong 3 times) we could be going off what past buyers have told us. We will never intentionally advertise the wrong sex, but mistakes happen. This is a risk unless surgically sexed that comes with buying birds. We also sell based on past buyers information as that is all the information we have. Thank you for understanding
- Chatter Beaks Aviary is very strict on allowing people near our birds. Please understand that our flock means everything to us. We ask that you do NOT go near ANY birds before you come to our aviary. This includes pet stores, and your own pets. A change of clothes and shoes is required. Its for the safety of our birds.
Payment Program:
This payment program is new to our Aviary so please understand we are working out the details still...
Our policy is we will allow a deposit of half to be made on the bird that is planned to go on the layaway program. The person will then have 30 days to make payments, and to pick up their bird. If at the end of 30 days, the bird has not been picked up, and full payments have not been made, the person will forfeit the bird and all payment. The bird will be relisted and another person will be chosen to be the future home.
We have this strict policy in place as if we allow extended time periods for birds to stay it could possibly lead to them not being taken and deny them a future home. We want what is best for them. Also, at the baby stage it is best for them to go home right away. If we allow long periods of time to pay, the baby grows and lacks the one on one it needs with a family. We hope this new payment program will help give all our birds the best homes possible. Thank you!!!! ~Email with questions

About me: I have worked with birds all my life, I was doing rehab and re-home efforts for many years specializing in cockatoos. After working with birds personally, people, and gaining the experience, I began to think what I could do to share my love of birds. I read up and did research on many different species and finally decided to start my own aviary. In 2010, I bought my first breeding pair of Parrotlets, then moved on to Lovebirds. After success with these birds we bought our first pair of macaws. They were very special to us. We also have the most amazing pair of Amazons I have ever met. We are always growing and we never claim to know it all. We learn something new here each day. We still do rehab and re-home, we also help all birds to find new homes or just wait for bird parents to get settled in the new home. Anything is possible for a feathered friend. We will even help you place your bird. Let us know what we can do to help. Rescue is also an option, large or small, we love them all. We will travel to pick up rescue birds. If we can not rescue, rehab, or rehome at the time we will refer you to someone else we know and trust. |

I have worked extensively with quaker parrots and have made them my passion. It is also no secret they are my favorite birds. So any questions on behavior or problems with your quaker let me know. I have worked with birds now for almost 10 years but been exposed to them since I was younger.
I also am the groomer for the aviary and other customers that come by or I travel to. I have learned not only from Dr. Scott McDonald but from working in a Pet store and through traveling and grooming. I have done Hyacinths all the way down to finches toe nails. Parrotlets beaks and more. I have worked with scissor beak and deformities. Birds with seizures and so much more. I have learned different techniques to make birds more comfortable and therefore less stressed. Let me know if you need to schedule a grooming. |
